Rumbustification

On Friday we had Rumbustification day. One of my favourite activities were the crazy bikes. The bikes were all placed in the middle so when you got off you could pick another bike without a bike running you over. 

When you got a bike you had to go around in a circle, and you had to go a certain speed so you wouldn't crash into anyone. My favourite bike was the two person one with the seat next to you. Most of the time I had to push Ava around. My legs started to hurt. We switched between bikes a lot, so other people would be able to have a turn. Me and Ava mostly switched between two people bikes. 

My favourite part was the bouncy castle. It was a superhero one. We had to wait in the line for so long, 10 minutes or so. I went on the bouncy castle with Ava. You had to go with a group of like 9. And your time was limited. The lady stood there with her phone in her hand and set the timer when everyone was inside.

When you walked into the bouncy castle there was these blow up stick things that you could run into and bounce on, there was a basketball hoop and also stairs that lead to a slide that you go down whenever you want and when you have to get off. I mostly went down the slide, and bounced around in the main part.

Yr8 Formal

Last night we had yr 8 leavers formal. You could arrive from 6-6:30pm. I came with Ava and Alexa. 

When you arrived you had to get a photo taken. Then you could dance or sit down. I hung out with Ava and Alexa. You listened to music when you waited for dinner to start. 

When dinner was called you went into the library where the tables were set out. You got to choose where you wanted to sit. For dinner I had bread roll, pulled pork and potato salad with sprite and orange juice. Then it was dessert. You could choose from blueberry cake or this other one with ice cream. I didn't have any. 

Then after dinner you got to do whatever you wanted, like dance, listen to music and talk with your friends. 

After like an hour or so, it was time to get picked up. At around 9:00 pm.

Camp

Engaged
I was engaged in the fire/shelter build, because whenever we had to do something I always did it, and I engaged in all the opportunities that he gave us, like lighting the fire, taking out the fire, making the shelters, trying the leaves and learning about how to create one step by step. 


Success
I think we succeed when we had finished orienteering first, and when we had found all the red marker things. I also helped my team find the red markers. We also had the highest score which was 750 out of our activity group. 


Empathy
I used empathy when we had to do high ropes, when I had to hold the rope thing and whenever they made steps I had to pull the rope in a exact position. And when they were coming down I had to hold it and let it slide between my hands so they would be able to come down without hurting them.


How being in a group helped me was in raft building. Because if it was just one person making it would take longer than it would. And we needed more hands putting the ropes on the wood and added the barrels so we could sit along them without falling through. So I think that's the time I especially needed a group of people helping me.

And then they arrived - feeback

In literacy we've had to write a story and get a buddy to read it and give some feedback, Ava was my partner. What she said was that I had to add more writing into my story. This is my edited version of my story.

 As Addie and Ava were flying through space, they had come across Bakaland, where all the silly bakas lived. They flew their chicken spaceship into Bakaland, but we noticed something smelly, like stinky sausages. Our nostrils closed up. Our eyebrows stuck together like glue. 


We got our toothbrushes out and looked everywhere, high and low. We had come across a disgusting smell. We knew these buggers were close. We looked around a corner and noticed a spaceship full of those horrific creatures. THEY WERE NOT BAKAS IN BAKALAND!! 

 

We ran straight towards the spaceship, they used their disgusting breath to attack us, because us bakas are clean, unlike them. #LOL. We had seen the light flash before our eyes, their breath was worse than falling from 200 buildings. Lawd have mercy on me, says Ava as she screams for help. 


She started to open up her eyes, when they had fully opened up she noticed all the sausages were staring at her, you should’ve seen the disgusted look upon her face. She asked those long looking moldy sausages where that dreadful smell came from, she looked side to side, but she saw nothing. She took a deep breath and moved slightly, but she couldn't, considering she was stuck to a wooden chair. Time tickered. Still no sign of help, she became hopeless on finding a way to get free. But little did she know Addie was on a lookout for her.


Addie ran through the long roads, searching high and low, and couldn't see a single thing. Her face turned red, it had become harder for her to breathe, but she isn’t going to give up. Running felt like it was forever lasting, in that case it wasn’t. She had noticed something, Ava’s toothbrush, she cried and cried, until no more tears came flooding down her blood red face. She got up and got shot from behind with a water gun. It went straight through her heart and she passed out. But no one knows what happened to Ava.



Tech

In tech this term we're making bags with an environmental message on them, and for our second class we're learning to code robots. For today in sewing I had to finish sketching my design and then I went around it with a vivid. I got some fabric and cut it up into the shape of my tree. 

In robotics we had to code a robot, using lego, computer and a robot. We had to code it to drive around a course.

Town flying higher

As our town flew higher, I started break dancing to my favorite song aka bad habits (Ed Sheeran). My head was shaking to the beat of the music. One of my co-workers walked in and caught me listening to Ed Sheeran. Which he hates with a passion. I ran off in embarrassment. I ran down the long stairs and noticed a big bubble around our town. My heart was crossing beats. I kept on running. While my co worker was behind me with a dog toy. I ran down the long side street that led to my house. A tall and old crusty one, to be exact. I unlocked my door, and ran right through. I ran half way upstairs and forgot I had to lock my front door. I ran quickly to the door. Next minute he grabs me by the shoulders and throws me into my living room. My air pods went flying out of my ears. The silence was really loud until you heard little sounds of Ed Sheeran's number 1 hit on MTV. I started to shake my legs with pride knowing Ed Sheeran was the master. I grabbed my air pods and ran straight upstairs. I ran into my Ed Sheeran themed bedroom. There were posters everywhere. My co-worker followed behind me. He walked into my room shedding a tear. I noticed the sadness inside those baby blue eyes. Tears came falling down his eyes like a waterfall. I started jumping on my bed with joy since I had made him cry like a little baby, like who does that. I dug inside my drawer to find all my old posters from a week ago (I buy new posters everyday) that’s how much of a fan I am, losers! They're so old. How could I even think to buy those old posters that only last me a day, well 3.5 hours to be exact. You're probably wondering how I manage to get all this money. I sell my old limited edition posters from like 500 years ago and make the big bank. So you see, I'm so rich especially with my 1788944433 Ed Sheeran posters in total. As I was giving a speech about my posters. I hadn't noticed but my Ed Sheeran hater isn't in my room. I ran down my stairs and accidentally dropping my air pods. I cried. I couldn't seem to hear any more beats from the latest hit on MTV. Tears came flushing down my cheeks like a waterfall. You could hear my screams vibrating against the bubble, which I totally forgot about. Next minute I fell down the stairs and my life came flashing before my eyes, I saw Ed dancing in the clouds and then he walked me inside his concert which was in heaven then I died.

 Science

Today in science we learn't where all the planets are placed between the Sun and Pluto. I also learn't that Jupiter is a 317 times bigger than earth. The order of our planets are...

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. 

We got given a long piece of paper, and we had to fold it in half. Once we had folded it in half we had to put a sticker in the middle showing where the planet in between the Sun and Pluto. aka Uranus. Then we had to fold it a 1/4 of the way on the sun and Pluto side and put another dot there and label the planet. Then we had to put 4 more planets towards the Sun.

Sundial

 Sundial

Today for science we had to make a sundial. How we made it was that we had to cut out the sundial design. We had to stick it with tape on our red paper. Then we had to measure out how much we should put the straw to bend it, so that it can stick out so you can see the shadow, you had to see the shadow from the stick so you can see what time it is. We used a torch and went around the top of the stick and the shadow followed wherever the torch went. 

A sundial is some sort of design to tell the time during the day and at night you can't use it since there's no light.

Popul Story

 Popul story

As the world overpopulates, most of the cities are becoming overpopulated, and some aren’t, for example China, after world 

War II women were encouraged to have as many children as possible so that the country could gain more money, produce more food and build a better army. But in 2013 China decided that women are only allowed to have 2 children so that the country's population goes down. 


For example some countries are underpopulated which means there are less people living in them. Which means that they have lower food products, people to work and less shops. Which means there’s not much people working and so that means there’s not much money and shortage of food and money.

Science

Science

In science this term we have to make a project about how the earth get's day and night. In my group (me, Poppy, Isla and Kiwa). We have to make a project including a foam ball, a piece of paper including writing that we had to follow, paper clip and a torch. 

How we had to make it as that we had to get a foam ball thing and put N = north and S = south. Then we have to draw a circle around the width of it. After that we got to decorate it with all the countries and colored it in with green felt. After that we have a card and we had to fold it into four squares then we had to write all the times that the sun and moon appear in e.g 12:00 midnight, 12 noon, 6 am and 6 pm. Then we had to draw a line on the lines that made the four squares, so that lines were more noticeable. 

Then we had to straighten a paper clip on one part, and then stick it into the ball, so that the ball sits on top of it. After that we had to stick the model onto the piece of paper and draw a dot on our country. Then we had to flash the flashlight at the model.

For our science we have to make a stop motion showing what we've made. We also decided to add Kiwa's voice because it's so amazing and Isla's so we made them speak.   




Popul

 

In literacy we've been trying to find words that have "popul" in it, and then when we are done we have to write a story using 3 of the words that we've found.

My goals for this term is

Languages

 Today we're doing languages and my one is Spanish my goal is to respond to simple instructions/ commands. And I learn't how to use some simple words like hello, apple etc.

Spencer Park Run

Over the past few weeks we have been planning to run/walk to Spencer Park. Yesterday we had finally gone. The run was 7km, and you got to pick if you wanted to run the whole way or walk/run or just walk. I picked walk/run. 

In the morning we got to school in mufti and did the roll. After that we had to sit on the mat and wait for the teachers to finish giving instructions. We got into a big line outside and waited for the teachers to get us into groups to go into vans or parents cars. Sadly got separated from my friends so I went in the car with my brother and his friends. 

When we got to Broad park I got reunited with Ava and Lily, we had to wait for a bit for the other people to arrive. The weather was so misty and damp. After waiting for a few minutes our teacher gave us more instructions and we had to get into our groups and put our bags in vans or a trailer. 

After doing that we had to back and get ready to start going. We had to wait for two groups to go before us and then we had left. We decided that we were gonna run for 1 km and then walk the other one and do it in a pattern. I was quite nervous at the start because I didn't think I was gonna run and walk the whole thing without my legs getting sore.

We started to head off. I was running with Lily and Ava. We decided to do a slight jog so we wouldn't get puffed considering we had to run 7 km. We had to run along a gravel track that lead up into the sand dunes, and you could see the beach from where we were running. The weather started to feel refreshing, because we suddenly got hot from running. When we had finally made it to 1 km, we felt pleased and surprised that we had already made it to 1 km quite quick.

Our group had to walk the next 1 km. I was still walking with Lily and Ava. The weather started to get drizzly. We started to jog again since we weren't puffed from running before. We jogged slightly again so we wouldn't get puffed when we had to run again. The weather was feeling nice since I started to get hot since of the warm clothes I was wearing and we had been running. When we had got to the 2 km we were quite puffed but not too much.

On the other ones we had done, we were quite puffed from running down hills and walking up them, since they were everywhere. When we got there we felt achieved and then we had to go get a photo taken by Mr Redmond.

Our story was about a man and a woman who fall in love, but they aren't aloud to tell anyone about their relationship, and he ends up blocking the door so his friends can met her, but she ends up running away and he breaks her promise.

- Status Quo mean't where the story started and where it was laid out.

- Departure in this story mean't when he found the beautiful woman and fell in love with her.

-  Trials in this story mean't that he could only see her in the night time and that he wants his friends to met her.
- Crisis is where something bad happens and it goes wrong, in this story it was when he broke her promise and she runs away.

- Return is when he went to go and look for her.

- New Status Quo is when he turns into a rainbow and him and the woman end up being together in the sky.

Tech

For tech yesterday our classes were cooking and wood works, In cooking we made a pizza since we're making culture foods this term. First we had to make the dough we used yeast, hot water and sugar. Then  we had to mix the flour and salt in our big bowl and then we poured the yeast and that into the flour and mix. Then we had to need it. After that we got to shape it however we wanted to,  I made mine into a person. After we chose the shape we wanted we put the pizza sauce on and our toppings. Then we put it in the oven. When we had finished everything we had to do we got to eat our pizzas, they were good.  After break we had to go to wood works.

This week we have been doing fitness around the bike track and we get timed for how fast we go around. My times so far have been 1:15 and on the second day I got 1:22 obviously, because I'm really fast and everyone else is slow. For the third day we had to run two laps with Ava the speedy beast, and our time was 2:53 as you can see we're really fast.

Art

For the past few weeks we have been doing art in our class. For my piece of art I did an abstract face with a rose.

In this picture I have put the face and then the flower coming up from the right with vines coming down from the top. I also added roses down the bottom to fill in the spaces and it also added more space so it wasn't just plain and white underneath. 

The reason I put the roses is that plants are peaceful to me.

The big idea

About racism around Chinese people

Bok Choy - Paul Mason 


The big idea around the Story Bok Choy is that there's a lot of racism

towards Chinese people.


“I don’t know how you can eat that muck.” 

she said it in a very rude way.

Like she was being rude about how Jacob and his mother liked Bok Choy,

and Jacob’s mother didn’t like that Mrs Bishop said that about Bok Choy,

and when Mrs Bishop pretended that AhSum wasn’t there when he was standing right in

front of her. Which was very rude towards AhSum. 


And AhSum didn’t like how rude and racist to him, and when she was pretending that he

wasn’t there. Probably made him feel bad and sad maybe? 


In this story it shows a lot of it, between Mrs Bishop.

She says a lot of things that are very racist.

We know this because of the way the story has been set out. 

So basically in the story Mrs Bishop is very racist and rude towards Chinese people.

From this story, you can see that there’s a lot of racism towards Chinese people,

and Mrs Bishop is very judgmental and only focuses on herself and doesn’t care about

other people and their culture, because she thinks only her family or her color of skin,

matters most. When it doesn’t. Because everyone matters the same amount, and she

possibly thinks that her color of skin is better than others, like she thinks she’s better

than people the opposite color of her.

Trip To Town

Yesterday we went into town on 2 buses. When we got there we walked into Victoria Square, and sat down and Nogo talked about the things that are in Victoria Square.

- How Maori used to use Victoria Square as a market place to exchange their stuff for other things like tuna, equipment. 

After he finished talking about all the things that were set or were there, we had to do this worksheet where we had to draw and answer these questions: 








We had to fill out all these questions with drawings or the answers to the questions. We had to go around Victoria Square and do all the tasks. 

Some of the tasks were we had to design a better phone box and label it, design our own Pou, draw a sketch of Weeping Willows, design how the Queen Victoria would look in modern times, Sketch our own Pou, Recreate a better statue of Captain Cook, design a better plaque, sketch a new design using patterns of your own. When you'd finish you had to go onto another task.

After an hour or two we got our lunch delivered and ate them, after we had finished with our lunch we had to line up into three lines and walk down to Town Hall to watch Tumahana. We walked up these red stairs up to where the seats were set out and had to sit down. The lights went all dark and the show started to begin. The people who were performing were swinging around on ropes and hula hoops. And the story was about Takaroa, Papatuanuku, Rakinui. 

My opinion on the show is that, it was good and the story line was set out really good, and I actually got the story instead of not knowing what was going on.

About Bok Choy By Paul Mason


In the first scene where Jacob and his mother were stacking firewood, AhSum came along with vegetables that he gave out to each door.  When Mrs Bishop shouted out “I don’t know how you can eat that muck”.  She came out from her house that was next door to Jacob’s to beat their carpet, she started to talk like AhSum wasn’t standing right there. In this first scene you can see that Mrs Bishop is very racist and is very judgemental.

 Jacob’s mother responded to Mrs Bishop saying “It’s called Bok Choy”, while she was giving AhSum some money. When William sneered at Jacob, Jacob felt embarrassed for liking Bok Choy, and he started to say that he didn’t like it, so he doesn’t sound like a loser or something. Jacob could feel his negative energy as he walked away to do some fishing.  In this scene that I’ve read so far, is that Mrs Bishop is racist and that her son is as well. 


From AhSums point of view, is that he felt embarrassed when Mrs Bishop was speaking bad about him and Bok Choy, and started saying those stuff acting like AhSum wasn’t standing right in front of her, when she knew exactly that he was there. But when Jacob’s mother started giving him money, while saying “It’s called Bok Choy”, with a smile along her face. 


In the second scene where Jacob went fishing, it only took a moment for him to get stolen by the river. As his worn-out boot slipped on the rock, which made him fall into the river. He was up to his waist in the rushing water. The current kept tugging and swirling. Jacob suddenly was swiftly dragged away into the middle, where turquoise turned to deep blue. In that moment Jacob was probably scared for his life, as his arms failed his arms, when he tried to stand back up, finally, he flipped onto his back while his feet were pointing to the bottom of the river.  In my point of view coming from this paragraph in the story is that he was very nervous and his heart was racing very fast.


When Jacob awoken in the next scene, he was in a darkened hut. Jacob forced his eyes open. In the gloom, he could see a man hunched in the doorway, tending a fire that was more smoke then flame. Jacob tried to sit up, groaning a little. The man turned and pressed him down, pulling the covers up to his neck. Now Jacob recognised AhSum.  “Rest, Rest” AhSum said with a gentle smile. “My mother?” “Mother come soon,” said AhSum. He busied himself over the fire, then gave Jacob a mug of something hot. AhSum supported the boy's head with his hand, while Jacob took little sips, the warmth flooding his chest. “Walking home, I see you in water, on rocks.” Ah Sum clicked his tongue. “You are a lucky boy.” 

  “I slipped,” Jacob said softly. AhSum nodded. Jacob started to look around the hut. Smoke clung to it’s low roof. Wooden boxes and sacks lined the stone walls. His own wet clothes - and more things besides - were draped over a rack that hung from the ceiling.  AhSum offered him a dish of rice, and Jacob declined.


From what I’ve written from the story is that he feels safe and is not that scared. He also feels comfortable around AhSum. But he didn’t feel hungry when AhSum gave him some rice but he declined. 


After a while his mother came to AhSum hut. Jacob’s mother seemed nervous at first when she walked into the doorway of AhSums hut.  “Are you alright?” she said.  She put her hand on Jacob’s shoulder. “What’s all this about falling into the water?”.  “AhSum rescued me,” said Jacob.  Mother stood up and shook AhSums hand. “How can I thank you?” she said.

AhSum just smiled. Mother noticed Jacob’s clothes hanging from the ceiling and brought them down.  “Can you walk?” she asked him. “Let’s get you home to bed.” 


In this paragraph that I just wrote out is that Jacob is feeling safe and not scared anymore. And is comfortable around AhSum.


Mother turned to the old man. “Come by the house tomorrow. I’d like to fix you up.”  AhSum shook his head “No money” he said “No problem.” 

“I insist,” said Mother. Jacob and his mother walked back home, through the Chinese village, which was little more than a handful of low huts clinging together in the shadow of the hill. A few old men worked in their vegetable patches; others sat outside their out huts, nodding as the boy and her mother passed by.  Jacob rubbed at the bruise on his head, his clothes were damp and cold. 


From this paragraph he felt cold and damp, when he was walking down the street. And he probably didn’t feel nice walking down the street in his damp/ wet clothes. 


They spotted Mrs Bishop. Mrs Bishop said “I hope you’re not cooking that foul cabbage tonight, wrinkling her nose.  “It’s called Bok Choy,” said mother quietly, taking Jacob’s hand and leading him into their cottage.


From this scene, Mrs Bishop sounded racist about Chinese people. And always speaks bad about Bok Choy, when what she said wasn’t needed to hear.

The theme for this book, was rasicm across to AhSum. And spreading awareness about how much rasicm can be used against chinese people.

In the start of the story where Mrs Bishop was being rasicts and rude towards AhSum, when she said "I don't know how you can eat that much". In my head it sounded rude and mean towards AhSum. 

I think the story is about how much times chinese people get called rude names and other things like that, and that it's a big thing around the world. Because people have a stereotype for all asians, which is not true.

Why do people migrate?

 The reason I think people migrate to New Zealand is that new zealand has better jobs and you can get them faster than in Asia or overseas, Like it might be harder to find jobs in other countries. And I think it's a much cheaper place to live. Another reason they could've left their old counrty is that the pollution and population went to high and they had to move because the counrty was getting to full. And maybe the taxes were getting higher and maybe the couldn't pay them.

The reason they could've moved here is that New Zealand has better jobs and more land. I also think that taxes here are lower, and maybe they wanted to explore New Zealand, or most likely the counrties supplies got lower and they needed a fresh start to their life.

My Quick Write


 The timer started going down faster and faster as the ball flew through the air to the other opponent. The sweat came running down the faces of the netball players. The ball finally made it down to the circle in a second. The crowd started to go silent as the ball went up in the shooter's hand. Everyone looked at the shooter hoping the ball would go in. The timer was counting down. She looked at the clock and lifted the ball up into the air and into the hoop. The crowd started cheering. She walked away with a big smile on her face. The news reporters came around with the cameras. The netball teams faces were covered in sweat. She wiped her face with a flannel and grabbed her water that was sitting alongside the bench where her teammates sat with excitement. She finally sat down from standing up for so long. The fan sat behind her giving her a cool breeze amongst her skin that was filled with sweat. Her bright yellow dress started to stick to her skin as she walked backstage.


Fireworks


As the sky lit up with bright colors, the small town wasn’t so dark anymore. The fireworks shined across the water. The darkness of the town faded away once the fireworks went up into the air. The street lights weren’t as bright as the bright colors in the sky. The darkness of the sky made the lights seem brighter. As the firework was flying up into the air waiting for it to let out all the colors. The street lights took over the brightness of the dark and mysterious streets. When the firework finally let all the colors the sky shined so bright.

Tech

 Today at tech we made cazlone again. When we got to tech we got inside and took off our jackets, and put down our bags and got our name tags aprons on. After we grabbed them we went to the tables we've been working at for 5 weeks. We had to work on our own/with our group, with no teacher. We had to get the flour, yeast, salt, warm water and sugar. We had to put them in measuring cups and get the right amount of stuff. Then we poured it into the big bowl where the flour and salt was. We had to mix the yeast and flour along with the other ingredients I mentioned before. We had to mix it together. When we were done mixing we put it on the table to mold it. When we had finished we put the dough back into the bowl, and opened the oven a little bit and put a chopping board over the bowl and let it sit for about 10-20 mins. When it was cooking we got our inside ingredients and put them together and added some spices. When the dough was reading we rolled it out on the table. And cut some of it off to use when we plait it. We put the fillings on top of the dough and pulled the dough up to cover the insides so it wouldn't fall out. Then I plaited the dough and placed it on top. Then we had to put it in the oven. When it was cooking we had to wash the dishes and clean down the tables. When the dough was finally ready to take out of the oven we put it on the hotstand thing. And fill out the books with the questions about our carzlone that we made then we got to try it. It was yum. Then we got to go out to go to break. Then we did plastics we started making our sunglasses.

Gymnastics Day 1

Gymnastics Day 1

Today our class walked down to the Christchurch School of Gymnastics. I was in the second group that got to go. The walk down took us about 20 till something minutes. When we got there we had to sit down and listen to the lady giving us instructions like we had to take off our shoes and socks and jackets. After she gave us our instructions we walked up the stairs and put our stuff down. When everyone had put their stuff down we went down the stairs where the mats and trampolines. We had to get into a line of 10 people. 

For my first activity we had to put our toes on blocks and walk with our feet still touching them and some of them you had to do a handstand and have your toes on the block and try move closer without moving your feet off the block. After about 10 or so mintues we went to another activity.

For our second activity we had to use bars. The lady gave us our instructions and then we had to do what she said. For the first one we had to put our knees up to our chest/how high you can go. And then when you had finished it you landed on this mat, so you wouldn't hurt yourself. Then we had to put our legs through this rope thing and face our butt backwards and it looked like you were sitting. There was another bar where you had to do another move. Then after that one there was ones with rings, and you could do any move you want. After you had completed it you had to do different moves. 

After we had finished that activity. We got to do beams. For the beams we had to walk across with our hands sticking out so if we fell off, we could protect ourselfs. There were three sets of beams big, medium and small. You had to start off on the big one. There were a few different ones you had to do like, backwards,kicking your legs up, normal walking etc. 

When had done that one we went onto these trampolines and do different moves. Like normal jumping, knee jumping and I don't remember. And after you had finished on the trampolines there were these block things that you had to do the same moves that you did the trampolines. 

For our last activity we got to on these big trampolines that went really high. We had to do all these different movements like spinning in a circle two times, doing these letter things and just normal jumping. We had two or three goes on the trampolines. 

When we had finished all our activites we went back upstairs and put our socks and shoes on along with our jackets. Then  we went outside and did the roll. After we did the roll we walked back to school.

Confidence Course

Today after fitness we did a confidence course, which is the same course from last time. We had to line up in lines and wait our turn to go onto the course. We had to go big low. You could go any pace you wanted. You had to go on all these different courses. Some were tall and some were small. Some parts of the course yo had to run to the other side where you went down in lines. 

For the confidence I found it easier this time, and I went faster than I did last time. 

Fitness Today

For fitness today we ran in groups of three or two around the bike track. Then when you had found your partner(s) we had to ran around the bike track at the same pace. I was in a group with Ava. We ran around the bike track pretty easy. 

After we had finished running around the bike track. We got into groups of ten. And the slowest person had to run in the front. Every had to go the same speed as eachother. When running around the bike track you had to stay in the lines that you were in when you left the starting point. When your group had finished you lined up behind these cones. Every group had to be the same amount of people. 

For the  "cone" activity we had to separate our group in half, so half of the group went to the other cone. For the activity we had to pick up a tyre and flip to the cone and run to the other side. And if the teacher called out any type of running like hopping or skipping, we had to do it when we ran to the other side after we dropped the tyre in the middle. 

Todays fitness was pretty easy, I think I've gotten better at running around the bike track rather than last year. The activities we do are good for your health and fitness levels and teamwork. Because when were in teams we all have to work together to finish the activity.

Fitness

 Today at fitness we got into four groups and we had to run around these cones in zig zags with a ball in our hand and run back and throw the ball to the person behind you. For our second activity they moved the cones in a different place and run around them with the ball and run back and throw it like the first activity we did. Then we did the tyre fighting thing again. We got into teams, which had 22 people in each team and if they called your number out you had to run and try grab it off the other oppoenet. And if you won you got another point to your team. 

Goals For Fitness

My fitness goals are to run faster and not get out of breath easily. And to get into the netball team for school this year. 


I think i've kinda achieved some of my goals because I can easily run around the bike track without stopping. And I find it easier now because everyday when we do fitness it gets easier and easier.

Fitness and confidence course

Fitness and confidence course

Today at fitness we got into groups of five. For the first activity we had to run around the cone on the right side and run back and tag the next person in your group. For our second activity we had to run to the cone again but instead of just running there and back we had to do 20 star jumps and run back. Our third activity we ran into the middle and did paper sissors rock with our teammate and whoever lost had to run back to where they came from and if you won, you ran to the otherside. After all of those I was started to breath louder and got puffed from all those sprinting and jogging. For our last activity on the back field we got into lines of twenty four people and if he called your number out you ran into the middle where the tire was and you had to fight over it with the other opponent. And you had to drag it over to your side and if you got it to your side you got another point for your whole team. 

Then we went around to the playground and did this confidence course. We had to go around the playground big and low. It really made me work hard and faster. I found it fun and challeneging. 

One of the hardest things to do was trying to grab the tire from my classmate. 
But in the end it was really fun and gave me more challenges I had to face and achieve.
